Assemble these:
50ml veg oil
400g lentils (small half orange ones)
150gm cocoa powder
200gm brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
150gm flour
1 tablespoon vanilla extra
1 heaped teaspoon decaf coffee dissolved in 1 tbsp hot water
100gm minimum of dark choc, bashed into bits with a rolling pin (inside a bag or while still in the packet).
Macadamia nuts for the inside
Vegan marshmallows if you can find them, for the inside
1 tablespoon maple syrup
For the top:
Sliced almonds for on top
Sweet soy sauce and extra maple syrup
Do this:
Cook lentils till very soft, drain well, leave in pan to dry out a bit.
Stir in everything except the sliced almonds, sweet soy and leave some maple.
When REALLY well mixed, pour into a tray lined with greaseproof/baking paper.
Level out with the back of a spoon.
Sprinkle with flaked almonds, drizzle over sweet soy diagonally one way, then the maple syrup in the other direction.
Bake for 20 minutes, check, add a few minutes more if you like a little crusty action on top.
Take out and leave to cool.
When fully cooled, slice into small squares or rectangles with a bread knife.
